YORGOO Blaster
YORGOO Blaster is a smart and aggressive Semiomantics Script that was developed to support and boost our Blogs and to carry our Ads to Google Top 10.
As we are moving forward so fast in our monthly Ycademy Seminars and it’s increasingly difficult to keep track with the almost daily updates on WordPress… which is speedily followed by the various Plugins we are using…, we decided to refresh our memories by setting up a new YORGOO Blaster in yesterday’s Ycademy Training Call.
The goal was to choose one of our prime Blog Categories, create a sub-domain on cpanel, load the Script, and then configure the Blaster back office step-by-step and even load a post or two.
Well – it was astonishing to see that those who actively and enthusiastically participated had a complete YORGOO Blaster set up by the end of the call – all ready to get some substantial content and ideally… a little personalization.
How to Create Web Graphics
While everyone could select a theme from the list under “Appearance”, each person’s Blog obviously differs according to the chosen keywords – Title, Tagline and Categories.
Creating Web Graphics to give a Blog a personal touch will just make the difference!
So the question is “How to Create Web Graphics for YORGOO Blaster” ?
Here we can look at three main areas:
1. Header
2. Footer
3. Advertising
Header
While all themes differ slightly, you will find a header.php in your Themes folder that you can Edit. Just exchange the picture file (URL) by one you create in your Photoshop or Web Graphics Creator. Save it and then check the result. Change it until you are satisfied with the look.
Your header should reflect the contents or theme of the website visually or graphically or both. It’s always nice to have the title and some graphic elements that attract the visitor to what he might be looking for. Ideally, you want visitors to immediately click and be directed to your Salespage or Shop or Optin Form.
What is important is that you work with the exact measurements of the existing header as otherwise you will get errors. You want a good quality but on the other hand a header should not take too long to open, so find a compromise between the two.
Personally, I always have some sort of colour scheme to create an organic flow and that is easily recognizeable as my handwriting. I also stick to my preferred fonts… although it’s always good to experiment and play and learn from the results what works or wht doesn’t and why… until the ideal formula is found and then stick to it.
Here is my quick example on my Niche “Web Graphics” that I sat up together with everybody and just syndicated some of my own original content from HERE – all clearly targeting how to Create Web Graphics.

2. Footer
The same applies for the Footer – just find the footer.php and adapt it to your requirements.
As a Web Graphics Designer I have to brand my name and give people a chance to get in touch with me – ideally via a Contact Form, a Personal Gallery and Showcase, or a Shop – this will come in due course.
3. Advertising

The YORGOO Blaster is about carrying our Ads to Google Top 10 – whether you design your own digital ads as I did here or you go for Google AdSense, Amazon or Ebay… what counts is that you use the YORGOO Ads Plugin for the top and sidebar Advertising space.
If you design your own ads, make sure you stick to the grid, i.d. the space that’s available. Prepare it properly in your Ftontpage or preferred Editor and then simply copy and paste the Html Code into the Top Ads space provided… and even under your Posts by using the additional Disclaimer Space.
Always remember that you want to trigger a click as fast as possible from the Ads you create. If people start reading you lose that opportunity most probably… that they should do on your Author Blog or NewsCast!

Creating Web Graphics for ‘Nutrinsider’
In our previous post we explained in great detail how we created the graphical Background – evocative of Fitness, Vitality and Wellness – for both the new Nutrinsider Website and the corresponding Twitter Account.
Let’s now look at what else we had to design to give “Nutrinsider” a sexy face, a visual identity, a human touch.
NewsCast Script by Semiomantics
For this we had to look at the category structure, orientation and positionings we had previously determined in the Semiomantics NewsCast Script to see where the graphic elements had to go, which impact they would have and which categories should accordingly be prioritized.
How to Lose Weight with Nutrinsider
The “Featured Category” to the top left definitely is the prime position offering the largest size for web graphics or photos. Here we needed an attractive high quality picture that. . .
~ could be used as the default picture for a main category, in this case Weight Loss;
~ would fit into the colour scheme and ideally pick up the background theme;
~ would sensuously address the real reasons for wanting to be in shape and
~ thus have an emotional impact that triggers a reaction.

How to Be a Woman with Nutrinsider
Personally, I wanted to address “Femininity” in this graphic image – a theme I am working on as a Digital Artist.
Like previously with the background motive, this allowed me to save time and integrate a graphic element I had created earlier, namely the beautiful shape you see – giving it a slogan “Shape Matters”. I experimented with fonts that expressed the ‘Shape” issue itself, although I would have liked to take it further… but I had to move on with the job.
How to Be a Man with Nutrinsider
Of course, this needed the male pendant… and again I could dive into my magic box and gain time by using an image I had already worked on for KICK ART … in case you remember :)

Obviously, it always needs adaptation as to the background – here I inversed it to give it a more solid touch – and the soft shape of the font that worked well for “Shape Matters” had to be turned into something upright and … well, vital LOL. And the colour RED just gave it the optimal kick… “Vitality Matters” !
Nutrinsider and Sports Nutrition
Sports Nutrition is another mega keyword on “Nutrinsider” and I created a quick little banner for the top right position – well visible for anyone visiting the website. At a later stage, we will have a banner rotator here.

Nutrinsider and AntiAging
Anti-Aging (Antiageing) is a huge market, especially with so many baby boomers wanting to boom forever young, fit and looking good and sexy. It means feeling good inside and looking good outside and requires Inner Nutrition as well as Outer Nutrition.
My Anti-Ageing Banner got the bottom position for the time being :)

The trouble with this word is that it’s written in so many different versions and all have a lot of Traffic. This means we have to cater for them all.

Losing 10, 20, 30 or more pounds is the goal of so many people and the fact is that even if you lose 5 lbs or 7 lbs it will have a clear positive impact on your entire state of Health and Wellbeing.
To address these very specific issues, Nutrinsider will provide the reader with solid information and a twinkle in the eye… as at the end of the day we are all human beings loving to eat and indulge in what we love, don’t we? So why not have Fun while getting the results of our ’sinning’ out of the way. . . especially off our hips?

On a final note to this first round of Web graphics for “Nutrinsider”:
It took me about 10 hours of focused work and bearing in mind that the refined elements (background image, the girl and the man) had been prepared before and just needed some adaptation and integration – thus a big time saving and a gift for the Client. However, given the fact that we work together since many years this is OK. Trust built on a successful cooperation over time is absolutely priceless – and while the Client expresses it in providing the artist with a stream of ideally well-paid jobs, the Web Graphic Designer in turn not only offers the best Service but would even go the extra mile.

Meanwhile, I am getting used to my new tools and as you can see I experimented with subtle light effects – which are crucial when creating an atmosphere.
Besides, I also experimented with distorsion filters to develop the unique ‘flamingosaurus’… the ancient forerunner of today’s (equally dying) species of pink flamingos.
Funny enough, working on the Pink Flamingo topic reminded me that as a young athlete at school I was part of the “Flamingos” Team.

Pink Flamingos in Namibia
Last night, I had a dream . . . the continuation of a magic childhood memory . . . when I roamed through the Namib Desert all by myself for hours, fearless and confident on my beautiful white Arab mare and with my wolf hound at my side.

Sometimes thick mist would roll in from the Atlantic Ocean and let the world disappear as I galopped along the barren valleys, Tora’s waving mane in my face, her fragrance mixing with that unique salty taste of fog that seemed to move through everything so silently … absorbing even the sound of the thundering hooves … and the sensuous forms and snaking curves of the dunes disappearing . . .
At times we stopped and listened into the directionless world.
Tora’s ears would play … then she would snort gently at the dog and pull impatiently at the reins to move on and explore what was behind the next sanddune.
It was on a day like that when… suddenly… as we moved up through the thick sand of a dune and got to its crest to look over it to the other side … the sky opened miraculously and rays of blinding light shone across the valley with the sea at the far distance.
But there was something that struck me instantly, that I had never seen before… was it a fatamorgana? It looked like a lake… a pink lake … in the middle of the desert. it had to be a hallucination… but what if not…?
Slowly, we slipped down the dune and continued towards ‘it’. Clearly, Tora was just as intrigued as I was.
Then I heard it: the noise! It was a loud symphony of seabirds – pelicans, flamingos, seagulls. . . and our presence didn’t bother them… they carried on with their feasting, dancing and squatting. . . enjoying paradise.

I don’t know how long we watched them, lost in the blinding reflection of the sun in the shallow waters… incredibly beautiful pink flamingos sailing across or dipping their heads deep down to feed on what their long graceful legs were uncovering in rhythmic movements.
Then, suddenly, for some unknown reason they all scattered up like a cloud, drawing a wide screaming circle in the air… Tora and the dog got nervous and then I heard it too: the reverberating sound of a low-flying military plane somewhere beyond the endless expanse of the desert… but it had passed already… and the flamingos were landing in the glittering waters …
Paradise.
When I came back 3 days later the lake had disappeared. But not its Magic! The Magic continued through my fantasy and dreams …

From vision to reality… the above are the first results from working with my new BAMBOO tablet and pen… and it does need some serious adaptation and the right settings… oufff!
Digital Art - as any Art – is 99% perspiration and 1 % inspiration… but I think it’s the inner world, our dreams and fantasies that pull us through and over the hurdles… as we are driven to realize our Dreams… at least in form of digital pictures… communicating what moved us and what – hopefully – touched YOU!

Digital Advertising with ‘Kick Art’
It all started with a Kick. . .
I’ve been following the evolution of “Global Sports US” on the unique Semiomantics Press Scripts with great interest and admiration.
Global Kicks reach Google Top 10
On one hand, I observed with awe how the ingenious finetuning between what a Search Engine essentially picks up… and what a visitor to the site itself actually sees and reads… by none other than Internet wizzard Yorgo Nestoridis… ‘kicked out’ and very rapidly occupied Google Top 10 positions on so many keywords imagineable and of great relevance for the client (Global Sports, London UK).
On the other hand, I truly wish to see the valued friends and first online business customers of my long-term online business partner and friend Felisa Ryan from London (ex Philippines…) succeed!
‘Global Sports London’ have a sexy product for a vibrant, fast and i-motional market on the go - a product with a potential to reach out for the luxury level with the right Branding and Advertising.
Digital Ads
Offline as online… in Advertising it’s the Visuals that count, the Artwork, the Creation… in other words the transportation of the Message via excellent Pictures, Images, Graphics… Art – and of course all this in combination with a good and memorable Slogan. Their quality, expression and meaningfulness as regards the target audience make or break an advertising campaign. . . which is nothing but a powerful way to show with vigour and continued intensity what is being offered, what wants to find lovers, addicts, collectors – i.e. buyers. Ideally, tons of them! It’s a wise investment; otherwise large companies wouldn’t allocate the immense annual advertising budgets they do, year after year.
Here, ‘KICKS’ and ‘SNEAKERS’ are our product – so Ads are crucial! Clearly, they should be on the constant move just as the ’sneaker runners’, ‘cool-kicksters’ and potential customers are: on-line and on-ipod… anything that enhances fast reactions… spontaneous, irrational behaviour… in a wild world where ‘Today’ is the Trend – from London to New York, from Shanghai to Dubai, from Cool to Glam, from Kick to. . . Kick!

The Nike Air Max Swarovski Custom Sneakers are fun and there are certain aspects that inspired my creative muscle to develop a series of ads starting off with nothing but a . . . kick!
Well, when receiving the ‘best picture’ of a kick on Saturday I wasn’t too impressed as with its tinted background it meant additional work… tedious work… to cut the kick out with precision… and doing that with a mouse is not easy (. . . and here I have News … something exciting for my next post, wait for it!!! Nothing beats professional equipment – online as offline… hint! hint!)…
Besides, I had no proper logo to use – meaning on a transparent background… MORE work! I took all this as part of my “…technical fulfillment learning curve…” LOL…. and after a while, I had something to start off with and that looked acceptable on black or white or any background for that matter… as was published HERE.
Now I had material to work with and play on my digital instruments and imagination… from Art to Psychedelic to Glam to… Cool and the Beast :)
